Parents are being invited to take their children to free workshops at Pets at Home in Drumchapel during February’s half-term break.

The workshops will focus on caring for small furry animals, such as gerbils, hamsters and rabbits, and teaching children how to care for them.

Pets at Home staff will be running the interactive workshops and there will also be the chance for youngsters to “meet and greet” some furry animals.

Gordon Wallace, store manager, said: “Small furries like gerbils are active, sociable and low maintenance, making them an ideal first pet for kids.

“Our colleagues will be on hand to offer tips and advice whilst making the workshops fun, interactive and hands on.”

The free sessions run every day, from 11.30am, as part of the My Pet Pals Activity Club. Bookings can be made at petsathome.com/petworkshops.
