CLYDEBANK and District Golf Club hosted the ever popular Hardgate Open on July 25.

The club played host to golfers from all over the county to play the course in the peak of the season, credit goes out to Graeme Latto and his green staff for presenting the course in perfect condition considering the poor weather we have seen in recent months. Clydebank and District’s own members took the main prizes for the event: Stephen Hepburn won second class with net 66.

Stephen Walsh won first class with net 68.

Scott Moore won the scratch competition with a scratch 70.

August Medal was won by James McEwan who had a spectacular gross 64.

Both received cheques for £2,000 and a further £2,000 will be presented to MacMillan Nurses later this week, more will be presented later in the year as there are still other charity events in the club calendar and funds are still being raised for our spectacular charities.

The club would like to thank everyone who supported the AmAm event this year, £6900 was raised from this event alone.
