Bankies got a morale boosting 7-0 win in the Scottish Junior Cup against Lossiemouth on Saturday in a game they would’ve expected to win.

However, after their shock defeat to Craigmark in the West of Scotland Cup last weekend any win was welcome.

A league win still alludes Clydebank but this weekend they travel to the only other side in the league who are also winless.

Allan thinks this is a perfect chance to turn things round.

He said: “It is a very big game, we know that if we go there and win it can really kick-start our season.

“The atmosphere has never really changed, I think we know we are a good team and you don’t just become a bad team over night.” The squad has been boosted by the arrival of winger Kyle Cumming — who scored his first goal for the club on Saturday — Allan is delighted with his impact on the team.

He said: ”I’ve known Kyle for a few years, we went to school together. So I knew what he could do and he’s added something different to the team when he’s came in.” Allan has made an impression on the side himself since his summer move from Tower Hearts but he admits to being frustrated with an injury he’s had to manage a long term injury.

He said: “I think I’ve settled into the team pretty well. “
