AFTER firing two goals against Colony Park on Saturday Clydebank forward Graeme Ramage has his former club Arthurlie in his sights, and he has a point to prove.

Ramage was with ‘Lie last season but he was released, before being snapped up by Clydebank boss Budgie McGhie in the summer.

The former St Mirren and Dumbarton forward has had his injury problems and has been eased into first team action by McGhie as a result, but Ramage told SportScene that he is fit and raring to go this weekend.

He said: “I feel brilliant to be honest, Budgie hasn’t thrown me straight in, but that was my first 90 minutes at the weekend so hopefully I’ll get another chance to show what I can do against Arthurlie.

“That’s my old team and it didn’t really work out too well so I’ve got a bit of point to prove.” The Bankies went unbeaten throughout pre-season but have suffered in the first four league games, they sit bottom of the Super League Premier Division with a single point.

However Ramage insists they have been unlucky in the league so far and the 4-1 cup replay victory over Colony Park can prove to be a turning point in their season.

He said: “We’ve been unlucky in the league, we’ve been beaten by the odd goal no one has wiped the floor with us, but we played as a team on Saturday and hopefully that will give us a kick start.” This Saturday’s game, at home to Arthurlie, has an extra air of importance to it with both sides having disappointing starts to the season.

Bankies have the added incentive of knowing they go above their opponents with a win and Ramage thinks they can take their opportunity.

He said:: “Arthurlie haven’t started too well either but they’ve got some good players so it would be great to get the first win this weekend”
