THE Clydebank dressing room have no reason to fear anybody according to Bankies defender Andy Paterson.

Budgie McGhie’s men have overcome the likes of Auchinleck Talbot and Pollok in recent weeks as they bid to end a successful season as high up the table as possible.

And, despite defeat to Hurlford last time out, Paterson believes the Bankies have what it takes to be challenging for the rest of the season and into next year.

He said: “We go in to every game believing we have what it takes to win.

“The boys don’t fear anyone and that has shown in some of the results that we have managed to pick up this season. “The Auchinleck win just shows how good a squad we have and results like that drive you on.

“We feel we can challenge the likes of Talbot and Irvine Meadow as we can beat anybody.

“We fear absolutely nobody and it shows in the way we play, we never give up.” Clydebank head to Adamslie Park to take on Kirkintilloch Rob Roy this Saturday and Paterson admits his side are looking to make up for the Hurlford defeat.

He added: “Saturday will be a very big game for us.

“We have not got very many games left and we are looking to win as many games as we possibly can between now and the rest of the season.

“The Hurlford game was very hard to take, especially after we ended Talbot’s run the week before.

“We should have won the game, don’t get me wrong Hurlford are a good side but the way we played and the way they got their goal was hard for us to take.

“But, there is a good mentality in the team and we have no fear heading into any match.

“We went to Hurlford believing we could win, and we will do the same this week and aim to get the result.”
