Residents in Bowling will have the opportunity to give feedback ahead of a proposed development in the area.

The Dunglass Castle Community Parkland Community Consultation Event will see members of the public presented with the chance to give their thoughts on the proposals of landscaping and paths within the former Exxon site.

There will be a 30 minute presentation on the proposals at Milton Village Hall, King George's Field, Milton, at 4.30pm on Thursday, May 9.

Glasgow City Deal and West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC) are behind the joint plans which would include enhanced community access to the waterfront, enhancing the setting of Dunglass Castle and the Henry Bell monument, interconnected public realm and open spaces, and tree, shrub and wildflower planting.

A statement from WDC on Facebook read: "Residents are being given the chance to give feedback on the development of landscaping and paths within the former Exxon site at Bowling.

"The public can attend an in-person event on Thursday, May 9 between3pm and7pm, where they can discuss the landscaping and path development within the project area and give their views on this project.

"This part of the project will see public access to the riverside site opened up for the first time in decades."
