DOGS and their pet humans in Helensburgh are being invited to volunteer to help people in the town with dementia.
The Helensburgh Dementia Resource Centre is looking to recruit volunteers and their dogs for their Dog Day Team.
The Alzheimer Scotland centre has issued an appeal for the 'hounds of Helensburgh', and their owners, to attend an information event next week.
Dogs can help bring joy to those affected by dementia and the information event will be held at the centre, in West Princes Street, on Wednesday, April 24 from 10.30am.
For more information and to attend the event please email natashya.sheppard@dogsforgood.org.

The Helensburgh centre regularly hosts an afternoon for animal lovers, those with dementia and their carers.
As cases of dementia continue to rise, dog days and other events have become a key part of support for carers and those living with the condition.
