WEST Dunbartonshire Council have flown the Commonwealth flag in Clydebank to mark a ceremony.

The event was held at the Solidarity Plaza in the town to recognise Commonwealth Day 2024.

The theme for this year's event is "One Resilient Common Future" and it aims to highlight how the 56 member countries can work together to build resilience.

West Dunbartonshire Council said: "The Commonwealth Flag is flying over Clydebank after a ceremony held to recognise Commonwealth Day 2024 this morning.

"Depute Provost John Millar was joined by elected members and other invited guests, Vice Lord Lieutenant, Linda Moffat, and representatives from Scottish Fire & Rescue to mark the occasion at Solidarity Square.

"The theme for this year’s event - ‘One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Common Wealth’ - highlights how 56 member countries should work together to build resilience and unlock potential."
