A ‘substantial’ haul of vapes has been seized after a police raid on a Clydebank shopkeeper who was allegedly selling them to children.
The retail outlet, which police have not named, was charged after a joint operation between Trading Standards and Police Scotland.
Cops retained a large quantity of the disposable electronic cigarettes and warned any other stores indulging in this practice they will be caught with further joint seizures planned to tackle the issue.
A post read: "A Clydebank shopkeeper found to be selling vapes to children, has been charged this week after a joint operation between Trading Standards and Police Scotland.
"Officers have seized a substantial quantity of vapes because of the operation.
"If you suspect any premises of selling age-restricted products to children, information can be reported anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
