LITTLE ones at a Clydebank nursery and residents at a nearby care home have formed a heartwarming friendship.
Over the past year, youngsters at Brookland Nursery School in Dalmuir have been making weekly trips to see the residents of Hill View Care Home.
The visits have been a source of joy, companionship, and a powerful antidote for loneliness.
Staff said they have observed the positive impact on the overall well-being of the residents as a result of the trips.
Recently the children decided to spread some festive cheer by staging their version of the nativity.
The performance created a magical atmosphere that was enjoyed not only by the residents but also by the care home’s staff members.
Sheila Anderson, who is a resident at Hill View, praised the youngsters for their performance.
The 79-year-old said: “They’re truly a blessing to our day. Sunshine on a gloomy day.”
The show brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of community to the care home and highlighted the friendships that have been made.
