WET weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of hundreds of Bankies who turned out in the rain to watch the town’s Christmas lights get switched on at the weekend.

The event was hosted by Clyde Shopping Centre and saw a number of familiar faces flock to the area just for the occasion.
