Glasgow City Council have demanded a road contractor return to the scene of a Drumchapel street where botched markings have been discovered.

Last month, the Clydebank Post told of local man John Henderson and his "embarrassment" at the way the council had left the roads around Drumchapel when repainting them.

Mr Henderson described how Drumry Road East, Kinfauns Drive, Linkwood Drive and Garscadden Road looked like they had been worked on by someone who was "drunk".

Now, despite GCC saying they would be getting the "wonky" lines fixed, a disconnecting double yellow marking has been found at the roundabout at Bernisdale Drive.

And the local authority told the Post it had asked those responsible for the markings to fix them as soon as possible.

A GCC spokesman said: "We are aware of this issue and it has been raised with the contractor who undertook the resurfacing works at this location.

"The contractor has been instructed to return to the junction and ensure the work is completed to an appropriate standard."
