CLYDEBANK football star John McGinn has marked an important career milestone by sharing a throwback.
The Aston Villa captain is celebrating five years at the Premier League club this week.
To mark the occasion the midfielder shared a photo of himself signing his contract back in the summer of 2018 with his 309,000 Instagram followers.
The caption reads: “Five years ago yesterday signing for Villa. Wee bit different.”
Fans shared their congratulations and best wishes with the Clydebank-born footballer in the comments.

One said: “Right up there with the best signings in the club’s history.”
A second added: “What a cracking five years it’s been. Absolute pleasure to see you stomping that pitch captain.”
A third commented: “Best day of my life.”
The Post previously reported that the Scottish superstar had been named SFWA International Player of the Year in May.
In June, McGinn extended his contract with Aston Villa and was dubbed as a “major driving force in the club’s progression” from the championship to a top-seven finish in the Premier League.
