An ABBA tribute night is being organised to support local Marie Curie nurses in the town.

The newly formed Marie Curie Clydebank and Erskine Fundraising Group is planning the event on October 6 in aid of the charity’s free and expert care, guidance and emotional support of those with a terminal illness, and their families.

Derek McIlwraith, chairperson of the group and a previous Marie Curie nurse, said: “The night promises to be a fun filled night that local people of all ages will enjoy, on the night we have one of the UK’s best Abba tribute acts, Abba A Rival, which will be a show to remember.

“Local people can come along, have fun and know they are supporting the charity.”

The event will be hosted in the Erskine Bridge Hotel by Paul and Lynne from Heart Radio Scotland’s “Drivetime” programme.

The doors open at 7pm where there will be a selection of stalls and glitter face painting on offer as well as the music, food and fun.
