IT'S TIME for sunbathers in Clydebank to dust off the deckchairs and get the paddling pool out as temperatures are set to soar this bank holiday weekend.
Highs of 23 today, 22 tomorrow and 24 degrees Celsius on Sunday are expected - making it ideal BBQ weather for people in the area.
However, the warm weather doesn't come without risks and locals are encouraged to apply sunscreen, avoid being in direct sunlight between 12pm and 3pm and drink fluids regularly.
People have also been advised to be careful and take necessary precautions to avoid food poisoning, such as using different utensils for vegetables and meet.
Dr Linda de Caestecker, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's director of public health, said: "We want everyone to enjoy their time in the sun but people need to be sensible and take precautions, which will ensure they stay healthy while enjoying the weather.
"The aim for everyone is to have an enjoyable weekend, in this much anticipated warm spell, while avoiding food poisoning and sunburn, neither of which are very much fun."
