A MAN has avoided prison after pouring a pan containing boiled water and hot potatoes over a man.

Kristofer Reynolds, 30, appeared in the dock for sentencing at Glasgow Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to the assault.

He accepted that he poured a pan containing boiled water and hot potatoes over the man’s head and body to his injury, reports our sister title the Evening Times.

The assault happened at property in Harbury Place, Yoker, on April 16, this year.

The Procurator Fiscal depute said that the victim had burns and blistering on his left leg and right side of forehead. He was treated with dressings.

Reynolds, of Heathcot Avenue, Drumchapel, spent time in custody for the offence from April 18 to June 16 after being remanded.

He was told he will complete 300 hours of unpaid work in the community within six months and was placed under supervision for 18 months.
