KNIGHTSWOOD pupils have been visited by an award-winning education programme to encourage them to keep the area tidy.

Bin it!, a drama based production which educates students about responsibility and litter, visited Glasgow as part of its annual nationwide tour of schools.

Knightswood Secondary School was one of five schools in the city to be chosen to take part in the programme.

Developed by The Wrigley Company, in partnership with specialist education consultancy Rapport, Bin it! is targeted at 11 to13 year olds and is designed to explore the issues and impact of littering.

Alex West, a senior manager at Wrigley, said: “Bin it! has been an incredibly successful programme to date and we are delighted to have reached more than 130,000 pupils across the UK over the last 10 years.

"We hope that its success will continue to grow as we reach out to even more young people, reinforcing our messages around littering.”
