BUDDING filmmakers in Clydebank are to get the red carpet treatment this week at a glittering movie premiere.

The town is getting ready for the first showing of Clydebank's own Hunger Games remake, put together in April by 48 youngsters at Y Sort It's award winning #Freshcreations project.

After weeks of editing from 14C, Empire Cinema offered to show the premiere and allow even more friends and family to attend.

Last year's Back Tae The Future filled The Hub with youths and their fan club for the Bankie version of the 1980s classic.

But The Hunger Games required more stunts, costumes and props that ever before.

Gillian Kirkwood, Y Sort It manager said: “The film projects have been a massive success, during holiday periods.

"It is a great opportunity for local young people to work alongside 14C, a talented team of creatives, learn new skills whilst having fun."

She added: “We're delighted the Premiere will be at Empire Cinemas. Come along to celebrate the amazing film they've made. May the odds be ever in your favour.”

The Hunger Games premieres at 7pm on June 15. Check out the trailer here
