FRIENDS and family of schoolgirl Paige Doherty have marked what would have been her 17th birthday today.
A number of friends posted images of flowers, cards and balloons left for Paige at her grave on Monday as others shared pouting selfies on social media to show their remembrance.
Paige died just weeks before she turned 16 and organisers of the Pout for Paige Facebook group asked for everyone to share birthday messages.
Her pal Amy Crawford wrote on Sunday night: "Her second birthday she's not celebrating down here like she should be or starting her driving lessons like she should be. Tomorrow I think everyone should fill Paige's page with Happy Birthday messages and pouts for her.
"Everyone misses you so much angel - you're spending your birthday in the wrong place but make the most of it up there show them all how it's done. 2000 - 2016 - love u forever x."
Dozens of birthday greetings were left from people of all ages in response to the anniversary.
