CLYDEBANK businesses have been given an important insight into cyber crime at a recent networking event at Strathleven House.
Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce teamed up with Scottish Centre for Business Resilience (SBRC) to provide Dunbartonshire businesses with access to key information to help them improve their cyber security.
Around 30 businesspeople heard from Chris Lewis, an expert from SBRC, at the event entitled ‘How Safe is Your Business?’.
Damon Scott, chief executive of Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce, told the Post: “With cyber crime on the increase our free event provided crucial information about how businesses can protect themselves against attacks.
“All organisations are vulnerable no matter what their size and the results can be devastating resulting in the loss of data, significant down-time and costs running to thousands of pounds.
“The Dunbartonshire Chamber and SBRC partnership means we can offer our members access to important resources to combat cyber crime for free.”
