POLICE are investigating a bomb hoax at Clyde Shopping Centre on Saturday morning.
A cleaner found an envelope in the women’s toilet around 8.50am on April 8 with another envelope inside claiming there was an explosive in the centre.
The message claimed that the explosive would be detonated at 3pm that day.
Police were informed and a search carried out but no evacuation was necessary as the centre wasn’t open as yet, said officers.
The message would have been left late on Friday before the centre closed.
A spokeswoman for Clyde Shopping Centre declined to comment.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Clydebank police on 101.
