DOZENS of youngsters were invited to Drumchapel Pets at Home to cuddle up with the cutest - and the hairiest - animals around to raise awareness of rescue pups.

The Royalheart Greyhound Rescue are just one of Pets at Home affiliated organisations, as part of their Sponsor Pets for Adoption campaign, and they visited the store to show off some adoption hopefuls.

The group arrived as part of a weekend for little ones to come along and meet some of the animals, including dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits.

Royalheart had five of their dogs there with many youngsters were quick to grab a cuddle while and learn more about the organisation and its work.

The organisation also raised a fantastic £475 in donations from the event.

Manager Stevie McLoughlan, of the Drumchapel store, was happy to see so many smiling faces on the day and said that they day was a huge success.

Throughout October the store will be running different events for kids to come and meet more of the animals, while learning how to look after and handle them.
