A MAN has been arrested in connection with a Drumchapel flat block fire which saw three people have to be rescued.
A 37-year-old male was arrested on Wednesday, August 24, and has appeared in court charged with wilful fireraising and the alleged assault of a female householder.
Three people were rescued after the blaze at the housing block.
The fire broke out on the first floor of a two-storey building, near Kinfauns Drive, at around 1pm on Tuesday, August 23.
Three people had to be evacuated and were led to safety down ladders by fire crews.
Scottish Fire and Rescue crews attended.
