AT least 12 people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving two vans and a bus in Hardgate this afternoon.

Emergency services were called shortly after 1.30pm to the scene in Kilbowie Road at Ailsa Drive, near Clydebank Fire Station. Two Ford transit vans and an Avondale bus were involved in the collision.

A woman from the bus and a man from one of the vans were taken to hospital, but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening, said Police Scotland.

An eye witness also told the Post around 10 passengers on the bus were also taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

William Traynor, owner of William's Windows, said: "He (driver of the grey van) came out of there (Ailsa Drive), whacked the bus and the bus whacked us.

"He phoned me five minutes after it happened. He (blue van driver) could hardly speak.

"About 10 or 12 people on the bus got taken by ambulances to hospital.

"One of my boys is away to hospital on a stretcher. He was at the side and took the impact."
