DRUMCHAPEL Amateurs boosted their ranks last week with the signing of new mascot, Glen The Lion.
As the January transfer window rages on with multi-million pound moves being make North and South of the border, The Drum might have bagged the deal of the month judging by the reaction of some of their youth players to Glen.
Meanwhile, the club’s little Lions Football Academy starts this Saturday morning. Aimed at three and four-year-olds, it will allow the youngsters to have fun through participation in football.
Drumchapel’s SFA-qualified coaches will introduce the little lions to basic footballing techniques, such as dribbling, passing and shooting.
They will also develop the youngsters’ motor skills with fun exercises which will improve things like co-ordination, balance and flexibility.
In addition, they will also improve children’s social skills like communication, listening, confidence and independence.
