Clydebank manager Gordon Moffat insists he was proud of his sides performance against Alloa Athletic last night – though was left frustrated they didn’t take all three points.
Blair Rossiter’s second-half equaliser earned a point for the home side on match day three of the competition after Cameron O’Donnell’s first-half opener slipped through goalkeeper Owen Stott.
That came after Bankies had missed a penalty through Nicky Low and passed up countless other opportunities against the League One side.
Clydebank are already in good shape for progressing to the next phase of the competition with seven points from three matches leaving them above the likes of Queen of the South, Airdrieonians and Dumbarton in the league table.

Moff believes his side picked up from where they left off following their win over Kelty Hearts in their second match last month but was left to rue missed chances in a fiery affair at Holm Park that saw 11 yellow cards and one red card issued.
Speaking to the Post post-match, he said: “I thought it was a great performance, we learned some lessons from the Kelty game in that it maybe took us a wee bit too long to find our way into the game and we gave them too much respect.
“We were excellent in the second-half against Kelty and we continued that on tonight, we started the game really well and set the tone for the game and I thought we deserved to win.
“We made a number of good chances in the second-half and I was just glad to take one but ultimately we’re disappointed not to win.
“We had real moments of control in the game and you could sense they were getting slightly frustrated so they started leaving one in on us on the tackles but I didn’t think it was a dirty game, just competitive between two good sides.
“We’ve had 60% of the possession and Alloa had one shot on target so it’s frustrating with the manner we lost the goal being a mistake, but I was really proud of the performance.”
It’s a hectic month for Bankies with two matches down and five to go, with the next four all taking place at Holm Park in the space of 10 days.
Largs Thistle, Caledonian Braves and Pollok all visit on league duty on Saturday, Tuesday then Saturday before they host St Mirren B in another KDM Evolution Trophy tie.
Moff is only focssued on the next match, however, and knows Largs will provide a stern test this weekend.
He said: “It’s a busy September for us with three home games coming up in the space of seven days so we will recover on Thursday and do our analysis on Largs.
“It’s going to be a really tough game and they are always high energy.”
