TWO members of a Clydebank karate club have been selected to represent Scotland later this year.
Olivia Cuthbertson, 14, and Louise Smith, 18, will take part in the Junior World Championships which take place in Italy in October.
Both competitors attend Kokusai Karate Club, who train out of Clydebank Leisure Centre twice a week.
Louise has been practising karate since the age of six and is the current under-21 Scottish Champion.
She is also 3 x Scottish Champion, 2 x British medallist and Copenhagen International Open Vice Champion.

Olivia has been involved in the sport since she was four and is the current Cadet Scottish Champion
She is also a 3 x Scottish Champion, British Champion, Vice British Champion, British International Champion, 2 x Irish International Champion, Swedish International Champion and Dutch International Vice Champion.
There is no government funding for karate in Scotland.
Both competitors hope to raise £1600 to help cover costs which include travel expenses to Venice, accommodation and Scotland tracksuits.
