Yoker Athletic returned to winning ways with an impressive second-half comeback against Glasgow Perthshire at Keppoch Park.
The afternoon started on a positive note for Gordon Roberton’s side with the hosts reduced to ten men in the first few minutes after a deliberate handball resulted in a red card for Perthshire and a penalty for Yoker, however, the spot-kick was missed.
To rub salt into the wound, Wullie McGowan headed the home side in front and Yoker were left scratching their heads.
After the break a quickfire double from Coby O’Brien and then Corey Pearson turned things in the favour of the Holm Park side before O’Brien added his second and Gary McKay completed the turnaround and secured a 4-1 victory.
It’s Yoker’s first win in three ahead of Saturday’s clash with Bonnyton Thistle at Holm Park. Kick-off is at 2.00pm.
Elsewhere, Drumchapel United moved to the top of the First Division.
Goals from Kevin Fell, Jamie Mills and Youcef Narbesla secured a 3-0 win against Renfrew at New Western Park.
It’s Friday night football action for Adam Hopes’ men this weekend as they take on Petershill.
Kick-off at Petershill Park is at 7.45pm.
