Titan Judo youngsters Sophie McNeill and Emma McCabe impressed at the British National Team Championships last weekend as they represented Scotland.
Held last Saturday at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell, the National Team Championships is one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the British judo calendar with teams from across the UK competing for glory at both junior and senior level.
Part of a 31-strong Scotland team, both Sophie, 14, and Emma, 13, competed well in the National Pre-Cadet team after enjoying a training camp and event with the squad in Luxembourg last month.
Coming second only to the Southern Pre-Cadet team, Sophie and Emma along with their Scotland teammates did well to secure a second placed finish and take home silver.
Elsewhere, Titan judokas tasted success earlier this summer with an impressive haul of six medals at the Granite City Grand Prix in Aberdeen in June.
With just six youngsters travelling north, Titan enjoyed a 100 per cent success rate with all six coming home with medals.
Sophie secured gold in the -48kg category while Emma took silver in the -40kg event with Lucy McCabe (-36kg bronze), Ethan Lambert (-46kg bronze) and Paige Gilfillan (-52kg silver) adding to the haul before coach Joe Timney earned a well-deserved silver medal in the -100kg category.
Timney has also been selected to be part of the National Talent Development Coaching team to travel to Belgium in September.
The Clydebank-based club are on the lookout for new members. More information can be found at titanjudo.org or by calling coach Paul on 07970519768.
