Nicky Little was the big winner at the Clydebank FC Player of the Year awards ceremony on Saturday night.

Little, who has enjoyed a goal-laden season, netting 27 goals in 30 starts as he overtook Mark Hailstones to become the club’s record goalscorer in the junior era, scooped four of the five main awards including Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.

The attacking midfielder has shone since his return from Pollok, helping Bankies to a top half finish and the quarter finals of the Scottish Junior Cup.

Liam Rowan received the Bobby Wood award for players in their first season, while Little and defender Jamie Darroch were honoured after each notching up 100 appearances for the club.

Bankies Academy graduates Oisin McHugh and Connor Hamilton picked up the U19s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year respectively, while U21s star Sean Findlay won both Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.

Manager Kieran McAnespie said: “I want to thank everyone who is involved in what we do throughout the year: the committee, the supporters, the trust and first-team players.

“It’s been a decent season. We’ve got a bit of work to do but we’re striving to do that over the next couple of seasons and the move back to Holm Park will benefit us all.”
