Members of Clydebank Traditional Taekwondo Association scored a first last month after the woman’s team picked up the champions trophy at the 34th annual Traditional Taekwondo Association British Teams Championships in Glasgow.
With the action taking place at Bellahouston Sports Centre on Sunday, April 7, cousins Kelsey Graham and Lauren Gallagher overcame last minute cancellations which meant they came up against three-member teams from all over the UK. Despite being at an immediate disadvantage, the Clydebank pair battled well to clinch a hard-fought gold.

Not to be outdone, other members of the club impressed themselves to bring home a number of medals.
First up, Arran Campbell, 11, came through tough fights in individual sparring to win silver, narrowly losing out to a Derby fighter in a nail-biting finish.
Elsewhere, Patricia Soszynski, 11, won an incredible gold at the third time of asking after clinching bronze for the past two years. Patricia used all that experience to her benefit this time, showing composure and maturity in dealing with her opponents.
Arran then partnered Oscar Bowman, 10, and Mateusz Soszynski, 20, to win team bronze in the Poomsae.
With two gold, one silver and one bronze after a tough day of competition, Clydebank TTA finished sixth in the overall rankings among all the clubs from around the UK and Ireland, winning the best Team Spirit trophy along the way.
