Peter McKenna is adamant that, despite watching Yoker lose 3-1 against Port Glasgow at the weekend, he would not swap any of his players for any of Port’s.
Yoker found themselves 2-0 down in the first-half before grabbing one back through Greg Cree, but they were dealt a hammer blow as Port restored their two-goal lead minutes before the break and held on for the points.
“It’s a disappointing result as the three goals were down to our own mistakes,” McKenna told the Post. “We got one back at 2-0 before they went 3-1 up which killed us really.
“Port Glasgow are a team up there chasing promotion and we’re in the bottom three right now, but to be honest there’s not one player in that team that I’d take over my own. The bottom line is when you play teams like that you can’t afford to make those kind of mistakes.
“We annihilated them in the second-half and did everything but score - it just wasn’t our day.”
