David Verlaque has re-signed for Clydebank this week after being allowed to leave Edinburgh City.

The right-back has joined up with Kieran McAnespie’s side after signing on with the Bankies after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Beith.

Verlaque had a spell with the Bankies back in 2015. The player became available on Thursday and the Holm Park boss moved quickly to secure his services.

He said: “I like Verlaque, I think he’s a great player and he became available and he’ll help strengthen our squad.

I’ve played against him and he was at the PFA Showcase.

He was at Stirling Albion with Ross Forsyth, so he was aware of him as well. When you’ve got an opportunity like that to sign a player who’s keen to come and join you.

He offers us versatility playing in right-back, right-wing back and right centre-half. He gives us experience as well, it gives us more competition for places.”

Morton youngster Scott Miller also signed with the Bankies last week on a development loan until January.
