DRUMCHAPEL Table Tennis Club headed to Cardiff City TTC for their first away match of the season, coming back 8-0 victors on Saturday, November 5.

The team of He Zhi Wen, Liu Song, Chris Wheeler and Tao Shi took on Cardiff’s Dean Cundy, Lloyd Gregory, Marc Castro and Pouyan Javanmard.

The team continued their winning streak, triumphing 8-0 to stay top of the table by two points. Yet again the team managed to win all eight games 3-0, not having lost a single match in the league so far.

Drumchapel’s next match is against league title rivals Ormesby which will be held on December 3 at Ormesby’s home arena.

Drumchapel II and III were also in action this weekend in the British League.

Drumchapel II lost 7-1 to Cippenham, while Drumchapel III came away 7-3 winners against Halton III in Derby on Saturday and winning 10-0 against Bromley on Sunday.

In the Championship Division, the team of Yaser Razouk, Sepehr Bidari, Tao Shi and Victor Guang headed to Cippenham for the weekend.

Their first match was against Cippenham I winning 6-2 with wins from Victor, Yaser and Tao. On Sunday the team played Wymonham and drew 4-4 with wins from Tao, Sepehr and Yaser. In the last match of the day the team played Nottingham Sycamore I and the team were defeated 7-1 with Tao Shi the only winner.

The team currently sit in seventh place on three points.

Drumchapel III headed to Derby for the C3 Division. The team was Zaid Khalid, James Forrest, Keir Morton and Danny Bajwa.

In their first match, the boys took on Halton III and won 6-4 with victories from all of the boys and Keir winning two. In the second match on Saturday the team played XLNT Draycott V, again winning 7-3 with wins from everyone.

On Sunday their first match was against Bromley and the boys won an impressive 10-0. In their final game they played Wood Green II also winning 10-0. It put the boys in first place with 15 points, one point ahead of challengers Halton III.
