THERE'S a nationwide housing shortage... so the rush to bag a new Miller Homes house in Clydebank comes as no surprise.

Would-be home owners queued overnight to put their name down for the Braidfields development, pitching up from 3.30am on Saturday.

The sale didn't open until 10.30am that morning - meaning a seven hour wait for the 40 people determined to snap up the house of their dreams.

Louise Caldwell, Sales Director for Miller Homes West, said: “Our new Braidfields development has proven very successful since launching with huge interest in the family homes – and all of the homes that were released on the day sold.

"With its close proximity to Glasgow city centre, strong commuting links and plentiful local amenities, Clydebank is a great place to set up home.

"The town also has a rich heritage and extremely strong sense of community so is ideal for bringing up a family."

Braidfields is Miller Homes's first development in Clydebank and properties are already in huge demand.

Located on Queen Mary Avenue, work has started on the new community of 88 three and four bedroom properties, with the first homes expected to be ready to move into in early autumn 2019.

Interested buyers can visit the Development Sales Manager at the Troon Suite, Great Western Golf, 2700 Great Western Road, Clydebank from Thursday-Monday 10.30am – 5.30pm.
