GLASGOW comedian Kevin Bridges has been crowned the UK’s favourite live act of 2018.

The comedian, who is currently rounding up his year on The Brand New Tour, topped Ticketmaster’s Ticket Of The Year survey which also celebrates Ed Sheeran’s performance at Hampden Park in fifth place.

It marks the first time that a comedian has taken home the honour, with the accolade given for his mammoth 19-night run at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro.

A shocked Kevin said: “Thank you to everybody who came out to see me live this year and a very special thank you to those who went as far as voting for me as their favourite show of the year.

“It’s been a while since the result of a vote has made me happy. You’ve restored my faith in democracy.

“Thank you all and see you another time.”

Looking into 2019, fans have declared P!nk’s forthcoming stadium tour as their most anticipated event of the year.

The singer will be taking over Hampden on June 22 and 23 nest year.

She was followed closely by the return of Spice Girls who will be hitting Murrayfield in Edinburgh.

Muse, Fleetwood Mac and Take That round off the top five.
