If you are going on holiday this summer, you might want to check when you should be arriving at the airport depending on which airline you are flying with.
Airlines such as TUI, Jet2, and Ryanair all have issued advice on what time you should be turning up to the airport.
When should I turn up to the airport for my flight?
Ryanair
Ryanair says you should be turning up to the airport two hours before your flight.
The bag drop-off and check-in desks always open two hours before departure for Ryanair flights.
You can check Ryanair’s Help Centre for specific recommendations based on which terminal you are flying from.
Although, you might want to leave some extra time if you are flying during peak holiday season or from a busy airport.
You must get to your boarding gate at least 30 minutes before your flight departs.
Jet2
Jet2 says you should leave at least two hours before your departure time with check-in desks closing 40 minutes before your flight sets off.
If you are travelling with hand luggage only and already have your boarding pass, you can arrive with just 90 to 120 minutes before your flight.
TUI
TUI passengers should get to the airport with at least two and a half hours before their flight for mid and short-haul flights.
You should give yourself three and a half hours for long-haul flights.
