Services for Remembrance Sunday are being held across various locations in West Dunbartonshire to honour those who lost their lives.

Communities will gather on Sunday, November 8, to remember those who served and sacrificed.

In Clydebank, a parade of ex-service personnel, veterans’ organisations and community groups will leave Hume Street at about 10.30 am. It will travel to Clydebank Town Hall for the service at 10.45 am, followed by wreath-laying at the Hall Street memorial.

Ex-service personnel are invited to join the parade, while the public can attend.

Locally, there will be additional services across the area.

A wreath-laying ceremony will take place in Bowling from 10.30 am to 11.30 am, at the local memorial.

There will be a service held at the Cenotaph in Levengrove Park, Dumbarton, as well as Old Kilpatrick at 10.45 am, at the Cenotaph at Glen Lusset.

Balloch’s service starts at 11 am at Lomond Parish Church.

In Duntocher there will be a service at noon at the War Memorial on Roman Road.

Renton’s service begins at 12.30 pm at the Cenotaph beside Renton Primary School and the Tobias Smollett Monument.

Milton will hold a service at 1 pm in front of the hall at the War Remembrance Seat, and in Alexandria, the service starts at 2.50 pm at the Cenotaph in Christie Park.

Residents are invited to attend local events and pay tribute.
