A Drumchapel care home will have to close if it does not respond effectively to an improvement notice that has been issued.
Almond Court Care Home, which is part of Holmes Care Group, located on 15 Drumchapel Place has been issued with the notice by the Care Inspectorate after an inspection was carried out and "significant concerns" were raised.
The notice raised three issues, one concerning how residents' health needs are recorded, in which it stated they need to be "correctly identified and managed to prevent deterioration and achieve positive outcomes."
It also stated that the care home should ensure that residents should not be "subject to restraint, unless it is the only practicable means of securing the welfare and safety of that or any other service user and there are exceptional circumstances."
The date by which these improvements must be made is August 20.
The management and leadership of the home were also raised as an issue to be improved on, with action on this needing to be carried out by September 3.
If the care home fails to address these issues, then it will have its registration cancelled, which will result in the facility closing.
A spokesperson for the Care Inspectorate said: "An inspection has identified significant concerns about the quality of care experienced by residents at Almond Court Care Home in Glasgow.
"We understand this is a difficult and distressing time for residents, their families and staff at the service.
"However, our first priority is always the health and wellbeing of people. Because of our concerns we have issued an improvement notice.
"This sets out the significant improvements that must be made within specified timeframes.
"We are in contact with and monitoring the service to follow up on the required improvements."
Almond Court Care Home has been contacted for comment.
