Two people have been charged in Clydebank for driving related offences as well as aiding and abetting.

Police Scotland have reported that road policing officers stopped a silver Kia on Dock Street on June 24, after officers allege they saw him using his phone while driving.

Officers further allege that when the vehicle stopped, they saw the driver swap seats with the passenger, which they suspect was due to him being “disqualified from driving”.

The driver was subsequently charged with disqualified driving, driving uninsured and driving whilst using a mobile phone.

The passenger in the vehicle was also charged with aiding and abetting offences.

The vehicle has been seized by police and they say a report is being sent to court.
