UPDATE: Repairs have now been completed.

Residents in Clydebank are being warned of disruption to their water supply after a pipe burst this morning.

Scottish Water confirmed that engineers are currently working to repair the affected main on Lennox Drive.

The issue first began at around 7.55am.

Teams are hoping to complete repairs as quickly and safely as possible with an estimated time of 12.45pm.

To minimise disruption during this time, drivers are being asked to use alternative routes if possible, as there may be some traffic delays in the area.

Once the work is finished, the water supply will gradually be restored to affected customers. The utility firm notes that it may take 'some time' for water pressure to return to normal levels.

A statement published on Scottish Water's website reads: "We are currently repairing a burst water main that is affecting the water supply for customers in Clydebank, G81.

"The burst has been located on Lennox Drive. To minimise disruption, we kindly ask that you use an alternative route if possible, as there may be some traffic delays in the area.

"Our teams are working hard to complete the repair as quickly and as safely as possible, with an estimated completion time of 12.45pm.

"Once the repair is complete, water service will be gradually restored to affected customers. Please be aware that it may take some time for water pressure to return to normal levels.

"We understand the inconvenience this causes and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to resolve the issue."
