An apprentice painter and decorator is preparing to compete in a national final.
Ricky Booth from Drumchapel, who works with Persimmon Homes West Scotland and studies at Glasgow Clyde College, will take part in the PDA Premier Trophy Apprentice Award final at Doncaster College.
The apprentice earned his place in the national final after winning the Scottish regional heat by impressing judges in a live skills challenge earlier this year.

Ricky will now face finalists from across the UK in a timed, practical competition that will test his precision, technique and overall finish.
The winner will earn the title of best young decorator in Britain.
William Smith, senior regional apprenticeship manager at Persimmon Homes, said: "Ricky has had a very strong year and fully deserves his place in the national final.
"To be competing at this level is a great achievement in itself, and he’s shown real consistency, determination and skill throughout the competition process.
"Everyone at Persimmon is very proud of him and we wish him the very best of luck in Doncaster."
