Man arrested after 1am 'incident' at Clydebank flat block

A man has been arrested after a early morning 'incident' at a Clydebank flat block.

Officers were called to a home in Castle View on Radnor Street at around 1.50am on Tuesday, May 5, following reports of an alleged vandalism.

After arriving on scene, a 42-year-old man was arrested by police.

He has been charged in connection with alleged incident and is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, May 6.

Locals reported a police presence in the area during the early hours of Tuesday morning with part of the building being shut off.

At around 9am, Clydebank Housing Association reported that their odd lift in the building was out of use due to 'circumstances beyond our control'.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.50am on Tuesday, 5 May, 2026 police were called to a report of a vandalism at a property in Castle View at Radnor Street, Clydebank.

“A 42-year-old man was subsequently arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear before Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 6 May, 2026.”
