IT issues which have prevented some patients from being seen by their GP in Clydebank are still ongoing.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) have confirmed that "every effort" is going into the problem at the Red Wing Medical Practice.

Health board teams are said to be working closely with the practice whilst temporary arrangements for patients remain in place.

Limited services are still being made available for urgent cases.

A NHSGGC spokesperson said: "We would like to apologise to patients for the inconvenience and any distress caused as a result of external IT issues at the Red Wing Medical Practice

"Every effort is being made to rectify this, and health board teams are working closely with the practice and the IT provider, with this work to continue over the weekend.

"Temporary arrangements are in place to ensure that urgent patient needs are addressed whilst this issue is being rectified. "
