A hunt for a gang of youths is underway after a teenage boy was robbed of his bike near Drumry Train Station in a 'distressing' incident.

At around 5pm on Sunday, April 26, a 16-year-old was in the station car park on Onslow Road when he was approached by five boys.

The teen was assaulted by one of the group and robbed of his blue mountain bike.

The gang then headed south towards Drumry Train Station.

A hunt is now underway to identify the group who are all described as between 14 and 16-years-old.

They are described as having been wearing tracksuits. Four of the males were white and one was black.

Detective Constable Darren Boag from Clydebank CID said: “This was a very distressing incident for the victim and enquiries are ongoing to trace the youths involved.

“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened or noticed a group of youths matching the above description, to please get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the surrounding area to come forward.”
