A leisure trust is warning that it may have to introduce fees for missed classes as no-shows are at “an all-time high”.

West Dunbartonshire Leisure (WDL) published a statement regarding the issue on Thursday, April 2.

It is reported that no-shows at fitness classes are starting to impact the trust’s coaches, planning, and members who are “stuck on waitlists”.

WDL added that if this continues, it will have “no choice” but to introduce a fee for missed classes.

The statement reads: “Our class no-shows are at an all-time high, and it’s starting to impact our coaches, our planning, and the members who are stuck on waitlists hoping for a spot.

“We love seeing the studio full of energy, but empty spaces that were reserved and never used make it tough for everyone.

“Here’s what we need from you: If you book a class, please show up – or cancel in advance so someone else can jump in.

“If this trend continues, we’ll have no choice but to introduce a few for missed classes. We want to avoid that, but we need your help to make it possible.

“Thanks for being part of our community and helping keep things running smoothly. Let’s get back to showing up strong.”
