Alan Milner, head of sport at Glasgow Life, said: "These pools are important for many people in Castlemilk, Drumchapel and the surrounding areas.
"Families and young people have told us how much they value the opportunity to use our facilities at the weekend and these new hours will help meet that demand.
"We are committed to investing in swimming provision across the city to serve local communities for many years to come."
The new Sunday opening hours will run from 9am to 4pm at both facilities.

Drumchapel Pool will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 10am to 4pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3pm to 9pm, and Sundays from 9am to 4pm.
Glasgow Club Drumchapel Pool, which features a 25-metre pool with a separate teaching pool, reopened to the public in September 2025 after a programme of refurbishment and the removal of RAAC from a section of the changing village.
The refurbishment included the replacement of air handling units to improve air quality, enhancing the pool filtration system, and new tiling and glazing.
These improvements have created a more comfortable environment for users while boosting energy efficiency.
The latest changes follow the recent extension of Saturday hours at other Glasgow swimming facilities, including North Woodside, Pollok and Easterhouse.

Combined, these changes represent a major increase in weekend swimming access across the city.
The investment has also supported the recruitment of additional staff, allowing Glasgow Club to safely extend operating hours and accommodate increased weekend demand.
Sunday sessions have been prioritised due to their popularity with families and young people.
