A hooded thief who broke into a Knightswood pub walked away with bags full after carrying out a 45-minute raid.

Bar staff at the Lincoln Inn Pub on Great Western Road say they locked up their pub at midnight on Friday, September 12, as usual.

However, after coming in the next morning and discovering missing money and a trail of damage, CCTV revealed a midnight burglar on a 45-minute spree inside the bar.

The mystery man prowled open the shutters with a shovel before entering the bar and going on a robbery crusade.

Owner of the pub, John Taylor, explained: "One of our barmen left and locked up the pub.

"Then, around two in the morning, some guys came in through the bin shed at the back of the pub, and he saw a shovel.

"It's a blue shovel we use for cleaning the garden up, and he's used that to wedge up the shutter. It was only up just enough for him to go under."

The hooded figure then broke through two doors before entering the main bar area, where he raided a charity tin and stole bottles of booze.

Next, he entered the staff office where he riffled through drawers before finding ticket money and a float for the pub's bonus ball.

John added, "In the office, we've got a wee camera, but he’s got his face down, we still can't see it.

"He goes into a top drawer, we had bonus ball money and ticket money. He's taken all the float money, and he's found a wee tin with £3 worth of coppers in it and emptied all the money in there.

"Then you see him leaving with a holdall and a couple of bags. I don't know what else he took.

"There was a lady in the week before who left a laptop at their friend's funeral. It was a laptop in the cage, and he broke into the cage and took the laptop.

"Every single day, we're finding something else missing.

"He must have walked away with about £1300."

The pub has shared the images on social media, even offering a £100 reward for anyone who can help with the investigation.

A spokesperson said: “We received a report of a break-in to a premises on Great Western Road, Glasgow, which happened between 1.30am and 3am on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
