Two Clydebank groups have been awarded grants by the Glasgow Airport Flightpath Fund.

The Double L Centre, in Linnvale, and Kilbowie Primary School Parent Council are among the first seven charities and community groups to receive funding this year.

The Double L Centre was awarded £2,555 for new electric heaters and cages, while Kilbowie Primary School Parent Council received £1,590 to purchase six Gabion benches.

The funding is part of the £130,000 available from the Glasgow Airport Flightpath Fund for 2025.

The fund supports sustainability projects that benefit the environment and communities around Glasgow Airport.

Douglas McAllister, MP for West Dunbartonshire, said: "This is really welcome news, and I am sure both local groups will be very pleased to receive the funding.

"I would encourage other community groups, charities, and organisations across Clydebank who live in the Glasgow Airport flightpath area to submit applications to the Flightpath Fund.

"The Flightpath Fund is now in its 15th year, and throughout this time it has made a significant and positive impact on our local communities surrounding the Airport."
