AN appeal has been launched to find the owner of a cat found in Clydebank.

The animal, a semi-long-haired tabby, is around four to five months old and is currently in The University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital.

No microchip was found on the cat which is described as being "quite unwell".

A post on Facebook by charity Cats Protection read: "Urgently trying to find the owners of this young cat found in the Clydebank area. 

"She is currently in the University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital.

"She is approximately four to five months old and a semi-long-haired.

"No microchip was found. The cat is quite unwell so finding the owner is very important."
